Opportunities make a man but a man
creates opportunities that is the essence of a Karamyogi. The
success story of Late Shri Kamal Kasliwal amply proves it . Born
in 1914 in a progressive Jain family of jaipur, young Kasliwal
had a restless spirit and driving ambition . Brought up in a
school of discipline and hard work he left studies even before
graduation to start business at the age of 18 yrs , with only a
few rupees in his pocket. |

His marriage to Ratan devi in 1932
provided him with a sustaining source of inspiration and in 1936
he founded Kamal and Company as a small shop, in Johari Bazar,
dealing in Sewing Machines. The war years saw him venturing into
war surplus vehicles and parts . In the early 50`s he
established Kamal and Company at M.I. Road, the present group
head quarters , starting with Burmah Shell Petrol pump and show
room for cars. With foresight and vision that "Transport and
Automobile" is likely to have a bright future he devoted himself
exclusively to these areas and with his honest endeavours today
the small firm is a big organisation with many branches and
several businesses .
A pioneer in starting City
Transport Service in jaipur and introducing the double decker
bus, he further showed his entrepreneurship by starting the
Automobile body building in Rajasthan with steel design bodies
and multipurpose vehicles . Today the fire fighters manufactured
by the firm , with indigenous design of pumps , adaptable to
Indian condition win laurels all over the country. His
unblemished performance got him prestigious dealerships of
Premier Automobiles Ltd. , Bajaj Auto Ltd. and Bajaj Tempo Ltd.
in Jaipur and Kota . During these years he was ably supported by
Mr. Komal Chand Patni , and Mr. Naveen Soni , to name a few.
Later on assisted by his children , he diversified into real
estate and construction, finance and garment export leading to a
group turnover exceeding 150 cores , with several branches
including offices at Mumbai and Pune As a philanthropist Late
shri Kamalji has associated himself with social causes. As
president of Sanmati Pustakalaya and a trustee of Mahavir Cancer
Research Hospital he has helped the needy. He has also founded a
Charitable Trust to train auto technicians , as his contribution
to the automobile industry . He has been the founder president
of Rajasthan Automobile Dealers Association , the Petroleum
Dealers Association and President of Jaipur Club . A keen reader
, political analyst , bridge player and sports enthusiast , he
has travelled widely in India and abroad.
